Examination session dates

The National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is administered by provincial international medical graduate (IMG) assessment programs and/or through the Medical Council of Canada’s testing network.

Each provincial IMG assessment program is registering its own candidates. Registration is not handled by the Medical Council of Canada nor are you able to register or see your NAC OSCE results through your MCC-Online account. Please check your province’s IMG assessment program for more information.

Dates for 2012:

  • Saturday, March 24, 2012 (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario)
  • Tuesday, June 5, 2012 (Ontario only)
  • Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 (Ontario and Quebec)
  • Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 (Alberta and Ontario)
  • For candidates intending to register for the March session and who are not able to register in the province that is their first choice:

The exam centre in Manitoba has the capacity to accept all candidates without restriction, apart from the minimum eligibility requirements for the NAC. Please check Manitoba’s IMG assessment program for more information.

Reminder to candidates: because the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia have additional eligibility requirements, candidates must prove that they have been residing in that province over a period of time in order to qualify to take the examination in those provinces. Please check the province’s IMG assessment program for more information.
