The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) is now celebrating its centennial year. To commemorate this important milestone, the MCC will hold a series of special events and activities throughout 2012.
The Annual Meeting of Council will be a significant part of the celebrations. This year’s event will include a gala dinner at the Museum of Civilization. Also in conjunction with its 2012 Annual Meeting, Council will host the biennial conference of the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA).
During the course of its centennial year, Council will sponsor an invitational workshop on physician assessment for every faculty of medicine of Canada. Following each workshop, the MCC will host a reception to bring together the university’s medical faculty with representatives from the provincial medical regulatory authority.
Each week, the MCC will profile a different Member of Council or vital contributor who will provide a brief personal account of the significance of his or her involvement with Council.
