Directories of medical schools approved by the MCC

In order for an international medical graduate or student to be eligible to apply for the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination, the university or medical school/college granting the degree (as well as the medical degree and year of graduation) must be listed in either:

  • the Foundation for the Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) International Medical Education Directory (IMED): http://imed.ecfmg.org/
    or
  • the World Health Organization (WHO) World Directory of Medical Schools (at time of publication, the online WHO listing is not available; please consult IMED (see above))

    • and be acceptable to the Executive Director of the Medical Council of Canada.
