Rescoring by the MCC

Candidates who have failed the MCCEE or MCCQE Part I can request a rescoring of their examination. The fee for this service is $200 CAD.

Upon receipt of your written request and credit card payment, the MCC retrieves your examination data file and rescores your examination manually. Specifically, the following actions are taken:

  • Your electronic examination data file is verified and confirmed as being yours
  • Your examination data file is checked to confirm that it is complete, that there are no missing data, or errors in data capturing
  • Your examination data file is scored manually no less than twice
  • Your results are verified against the results obtained by the standard computer-scoring procedure
  • Your results in the examination data file are checked against those contained in the Statement of Results and the supplemental feedback on your examination performance previously provided to you
  • You are issued a letter confirming that the rescoring has been completed and informed of the outcome of the rescoring
