March 24, 2020

The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) is committed to collaborating with the Canadian government and public health authorities to ensure best practices are followed to help contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health and safety of all people in Canada.

The MCC is determined to adopt a comprehensive approach and take the necessary actions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, to ensure the health and safety of our employees, the MCC building is closed as of Tuesday, March 24, 2020 until further guidance from the Public Health Agency Canada (PHAC) is provided. The full complement of MCC staff are working from home, and the service desk will remain operational to answer your emails, calls and chats during its regular business hours which are Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Eastern Time (ET) and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., ET on Fridays.

These precautionary measures have been taken to limit the potential spread of the virus and to support our employees in this challenging time, while also continuing to provide services to our candidates and stakeholders.

Please keep monitoring mcc.ca and physiciansapply.ca websites for further updates.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented circumstances.
