Join a test committee

Comprising external experts, test committees support the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) in its mission to achieve the highest level of medical care in Canada and are responsible for developing relevant, standardized, independent, high-quality, assessment tools and strategies.

The MCC is looking for subject matter experts who want to make meaningful contributions to medical education and assessment to join our test committees, including the:

  • MCC Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part I test committees
    • Medicine
    • Obstetrics and gynecology
    • Pediatrics
    • Population health, ethical, legal, and organizational aspects of medicine
    • Surgery
    • Psychiatry
  • Therapeutics Decision-Making (TDM) Examination Committee

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Eligibility requirements

MCCQE PART I test committees

  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Valid license to practise medicine in a Canadian province or territory
  • At least three years of experience in independent practice in Canada

TDM Examination Committee

  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Valid license to practise medicine in a Canadian province or territory
  • Valid Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
