The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) offers candidates and physicians a variety services that are required on their path to licensure and beyond. These services include source verification, document translation, and Educational Credential Assessment. The MCC also offers an online database that provides permanent storage for international medical credentials known as the Physician Credentials Repository.

Canadian medical organizations require physicians to have their international medical credentials source verified by the MCC to ensure they are authentic.
If you have medical credentials, passports, or other documents that are not in English or French stored in your physiciansapply.ca account, you must have them translated by the MCC. You can also use this service to have your English documents translated to French, or your French documents translated to English.
Educational Credential Assessment
An Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) confirms whether or not your medical degree/diploma is comparable to a Canadian one.
